Location: As above (Oshawa Centre)

Number of positions: 1

Work Hours: Varied; shifts dynamic depending on discussion; *operational 8 am – 10 pm weekdays & 9 am – 6 pm weekends

Pay: $15/hr. base pay + tips + incentives + product commission

Education Required / Certificates Required: Hairdressing Diploma (finished or in-progress with registered apprenticeship)  * Employer is very receptive to registering apprentices

Number of Years of Previous Experience Required: None (but all experience is an asset)

Own Transportation Required: No

Start Date: May 1st, 2022

Main Responsibilities:

·        Staying up-to-date on the most current hair styles and trends for men, women and children and demonstrating ability through great cuts

·        Influencing masterful and making sound recommendations to clients about which styles will best suit their facial structure and hair types

·        Building ongoing relationships with clients and staying “on top” of their customer service game. Making clients feel welcome and comfortable, which is especially important when it comes to working with young children

·        Keeping areas properly organized and sanitized

Job Requirements:

·        Must be at least 18 years of age and have or be nearing the end of a hairdressing diploma course

·        Have a secondary school diploma or equivalency

·        Be literate in basic conversation and numeracy; have a friendly and engaging personality and be able to describe steps during haircuts, etc., so that clients feel empowered

·        Outgoing and hardworking — natural work ethic
