Please be aware of door-to-door and on-line scams related to COVID-19.
Toronto Police and the Toronto Crime Stoppers program released a public service announcement about SCAMS and COVID-19.
They are asking residents to be vigilant when it comes to those trying to sell products or services associated with COVID-19.
Some COVID-19 related internet scams indicate that people can apply on-line for test kits, receive medications, vaccines, etc. Vaccines for COVID-19 are currently non-existent and medications should not be offered on-line.
Do not provide personal, health or financial information.
You will also not be asked to test for a virus by a door to door service.
Please report anyone misrepresenting themselves to the police at tps.on.ca/core.
