Welcome Centre Immigrant Services, with locations in Pickering and Ajax, provide a one-stop service under one roof designed to guide and support newcomers through the maze of available information and resources.

Programs offered through the Durham Welcome Centres include:

Job Search Workshops (JSW) – a program for Newcomers/Immigrants to Canada, specifically designed to help immigrants find employment in Canada.

TRIEC Mentoring Partnership Orientation – helps immigrant with a professional background reconnect with their career with the support of a mentor who works in the same field. 75% of participants find a job in their field within one year. The next orientation session is on September 22 at 9:30 am. Click to Register.

Other services include language assessment and language training, settlement services and assistance in finding employment.
