Meet Our DIGITAL Literacy Facilitator
Darryen Sands
Darryen Sands is an Applied Maths and Physics student at Ontario Tech University. He obtained his degree and is working towards a Master’s in modelling and computational science with a strong interest in quantum computing and graph theory.

Having worked as a Teaching Assistant at Ontario Tech University, Darryen taught students programming for physics applications and utilized Linux and Rasberry Pi to teach students the utility of these tools. He also worked as an Information Technology Assistant for Community Living Oshawa/Clarington, effectively resolving issues with computers, software and printers.
As DRUHC’s Digital Literacy Facilitator, Darryen will contribute to the overall success of the Employment Ontario (EO), services and activities offered virtually by providing virtual training and support to foster familiarity and enhanced proficiency in digital literacy.
He will ensure the clients have the necessary understanding, knowledge, etiquette and literacy to actively participate in and conduct engagements, appointments and activities that utilize online modalities.
