Education Required: Secondary School (preferred)
Number of Years of Previous Experience Required: 1 – 2 years in accounting or related field; Vendor Management: 1 year (preferred); Accounts Payable: 1 year (preferred)
Main Responsibilities:
– The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and have an ability to accurately track and record cash flow. This candidate should have experience in maintaining a database of financial information and be able to recognize and solve any problems that may arise.
Major Responsibilities:
– General accounts payable entry
– Coordinate with suppliers by phone/email
– Match invoices to purchase orders and ensure proper cost allocation
– Enter invoices in system;
– Print cheque’s
– End of month reporting/ Bookkeeping
– Manage digital filing of documents
– Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
– Work closely with Purchasing team
Job Requirements:
– Strong understanding of General Ledger system and Accounts Payable processing
– Strong organizational, analytical and recording skills
– Detail oriented
– Proficient in Microsoft Office suite & QuickBooks
