Pay: $22.00 – $32.00 per hour

Start Date: Immediately

Education/ Certificate: Post-secondary education in mechanical/engineering studies is required

Preference of 3-5 years in custom metal fabrication industry

Main Responsibilities:    

·       Review and understand job specifications and drawings and follow through with estimating process to develop competitive bids

·       Prepare customer RFQs to be estimated by gathering specifications, proposals, blueprints, and related documents as required. Reviewing RFQs for both deliverable and quality requirements

·       Identifies labor, time, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing requirements

·       Understanding the labor variances between project types and apply appropriate correction factors.

·       Create and submit clear and full proposals to customer in a timely manner

·       Utilize internal ERP system to maintain cost structure

·       Manage multiple estimates at the same time

·       Communicate with customer to gather information, clarify specifications, wording, etc

Job Requirements:

·        Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

·        Excellent time management skills

·        Self-motivated with strong willingness and ability to learn and be challenged

·        Works effectively in a team environment

·        Understanding of the required labor hours in custom metal fabrication

·        Good knowledge of welding, machining, sheet metal fabrication, polishing and other inter-related trades

·        Any shop experience in custom metal fabrication is a plus

·        Experience with AutoCAD (Lantek is a plus)

·        Effective communication skills (English)

Number of Years of Previous Experience Required:

·        5-8 years in quoting and estimating (preferred)

·        Any shop experience in custom metal fabrication is a plus
