Location: Whitby

Number of positions: 5-6

Work Hours: Full-time weekdays, between 7 am & 5 pm

Pay:

Pay: $ 15 – $16 /hr. to start+ $2 gvt. top-up for classroom assistance time

Benefits (Yes/No?): 50% Medical Coverage

Education:

None (but an asset – to be reviewed at interview)

Certificates Required:

Food Handler’s Certificate

Medical Testing/Disclosure/Vaccinations Required: 2-Step TB Test

Number of Years of Previous Experience Required:  Not required but an asset

Main Responsibilities:

·        Help prepare and/or serve nutritious snacks and meals, as per resident cook and Canada Food Guide

·        Timing meals and serving around scheduled times

·        Health & Safety mindedness always

·        Discern ingredients freshness

·        Follow menu plans, recipes and requests

·        Clean and sanitize food preparation and serving areas

·        Help children eat, dress and use the toilet and/or execute hygiene habits

·        Lead young children’s activities, tell stories, teach songs and prepare craft materials on occasion as classroom and teacher helper
