Main Responsibilities:
- Greeting and welcoming patients to the practice
- Managing and scheduling appointments effectively via phone, email, text, or in person
- Setting up financial arrangements with patients and helping them to manage their dental insurance
- Processing payments, insurance claims, and predeterminations
- Performing daily administrative tasks in a timely manner (ie. answering phone calls, emails, filing, photocopying, etc.)
- Most importantly, creating a positive dental environment for patients and team members
Job Requirements:
- Experience in dental administration is preferred, though training can be provided to the right candidate
- Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skill
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams, etc)
- Knowledge in Dental Practice Management Software (ie., Open Dental), Insurance Claims, Patient Communications and Social Media
- HARP certification an asset
Education Required: Minimum high school. Fluent in English.
Certificates Required: None. Dental Administration and HARP certification preferred
